ACHIEVE: Set clear, actionable goals.

In the Achieve stage of the ABIDE model, you’ll learn how to help your team members set specific, measurable, and impactful goals. This is more than just checking boxes—it's about aligning goals with each individual's strengths, aspirations, and the bigger picture of the team’s objectives.

IDEAS & IMPACT: Spark creativity and broaden perspectives.

In the Ideas & Impact stage of the ABIDE model, the focus shifts toward fostering creativity and exploring the broader implications of the team member’s actions and decisions. This step empowers your team to think critically and align their efforts with both personal growth and team objectives.

BARRIERS & BELIEFS: Address obstacles and mindsets.

In the Barriers & Beliefs stage of the ABIDE model, the goal is to uncover and address the challenges or limiting beliefs that may be holding your team member back from achieving their goals. There may also be other barriers that are getting in the way of their progress, such as a lack of knowledge, training or the right level of support they require. It's important to actively listen and not jump in.

DECISION MAKING: Empower your team to take ownership.

In the Decision Making stage of the ABIDE model, the focus is on empowering your team member to take responsibility for their choices and actions. This step is all about moving from planning to execution by ensuring your team member is confident in the decisions they make. It's important not to overload the team member with too many actions

EVALUATION: Measure progress and keep improving.

In the Evaluation stage of the ABIDE model, the focus is on assessing the progress made toward the goals set and determining areas for improvement. This stage ensures that both you and your team member reflect on the journey so far, celebrate successes, and identify opportunities for further growth. It's also important to encourage the team member to evaluate their own progress.
